help disabled jew get a new wheelchair
Donation protected
hi, my name is amber, i'm 23, and i'm disabled. due to pain and fatigue, i can't stand longer than 10 minutes at a time without fainting. i have what's called postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, which a form of dysautonomia. my body can't regulate its own blood pressure, meaning i am often fainting when standing up. i used to have a wheelchair, but when i left my abusive ex-fiancé, i had no choice but to leave it behind.
due to being unable to stand for long periods of time, i can't hold a normal job. i'm on the lookout for a desk job, but nothing has come across my path thus far. i am confined to my house at all times because i can't walk around without falling or fainting. a wheelchair meant for self propelling would run me about $1700, because everything is so expensive right now. the wheelchair i used to have was not meant for someone to push themself in, and it ended up having long-lasting effects on my back and shoulders. i know everyone is struggling right now, but any little thing helps. i'm desperate.
everything donated to this gofundme will go towards medical supplies. namely, my wheelchair and any unexpected costs that might crop up.
thank you for reading, and please share! chag urim sameach!
