Help Disabled Black Woman Get Her Smile Back
Hi, my name is Josh and I am fundraising on behalf of my mother, Yolanda. My mom is a gorgeous 55 year old black woman who has not has it as easy as she deserves. For the past 11 years, she has been suffering from teeth loss due to the strong and highly addictive pain medication she has had to take for her severe osteoarthritic knees. She has had both knees replaced as well as a shoulder replacement. My mom has a beautiful smile but she hasn't been able to smile the way she used to for over a decade because she has been losing her teeth. She has even been judged and discriminated against by medical professionals who assume she lost her teeth due to hard drug use. I am asking that you all please help me to return my mom's smile to her face. She is on medicare/medicaid which has been instrumental in paying for her other surgeries, but as most of you likely know, they do not cover dental. Today, August 25th 2021, my mother went in for a consultation and she was quoted a price of $6000 to remove all of the teeth left in her mouth (only one would be salvageable, but it'd be $4300 to do so, which is not worth it). Please donate and share, as this has been a long ongoing battle for our family. We would really appreciate it, and please do not be judgmental as we've gone through enough of that. Thank You.
Below I have attached 3 pictures: 2 of my mom so you can see what she looks like and how she smiles, and a 3rd of what her teeth look like at this moment. Warning, the 3rd photo is not pretty, so if you are uncomfortable looking at a mouth with missing teeth, I suggest you not look. It has taken alot of courage for me, and more importantly my mom, to show her mouth this way. Thanks again.
