Hi everyone, my name is Tahirah , and I’m reaching out for help for my sweet dog, Dirk. Dirk is 4 years old and has been with me since he was just 3 months old. He’s not just a pet—he’s truly my family and my emotional support dog, always bringing comfort, love, and joy into my life and everyone he meets.

Last year, Dirk had surgery to remove a lipoma (a fatty tumor) on his back leg. Unfortunately, it has grown back, and this time it’s much worse. After several vet visits and consultations, I’ve been told that the only option left to stop his pain is to amputate his leg.

Even though Dirk still greets everyone with his wagging tail and playful energy, I can see how much discomfort he’s in every day. It breaks my heart knowing I can’t afford this life-changing surgery on my own.

The cost for the surgery, recovery, and physical therapy is estimated to be around $4,000–$5,000. Any amount, no matter how small, would mean the world to us and bring us one step closer to giving Dirk the happy, pain-free life he deserves.

Dirk has such a big heart and touches everyone who meets him. I can’t imagine having to give him up or see him continue to suffer when there’s hope for him to heal and live a full life again.
