Hi everyone. I’m from Uniontown, PA. This is my cat Dipper. He’s 5 years old, my first baby, and the most precious boy. I’m making this post from a place of desperation. Yesterday, I took him to our primary vet because he was not eating, drinking, and was very lethargic. After their exam, they suspected a bladder obstruction. I had to rush him to an ER. He had to stay over night and even though he is now stabilized, he is not in a position to come home. He still needs veterinary care to get his kidneys, electrolytes, and potassium levels back to healthy function. I’m posting in this group because I cannot afford another ER stay. I am a 21 year old college student and a waitress who is financially independent. I had to open a new credit line to pay for last nights stay. I was wondering if anyone knows of anywhere cheaper I could transfer him so he could continue to be monitored and receive fluids? Or any organizations that could donate directly to the ER so they could continue care? I’m desperate. I don’t want to break my heart or my other kitty Iris’ either by having to make a difficult decision. All advice is appreciated. Thank you..
