My name is Dionne and I am in great need of help so that I can pay my rent, utilities, and other bills. On August 19, 2025, I had a medical emergency. All of a sudden, I developed chest pain. I thought it was heartburn, so I took antacid but still had pain. I thought I would just lay down and go to sleep, and when I woke up, I would be okay. I laid down, and one of my dogs, Bella, kept licking my face, jumping on me, and scratching me despite me telling her to stop and pushing her away. So I got up and was dizzy and clumsy. I googled symptoms and called 911. I was told I needed to go to the hospital ASAP. I remember them telling me the ambulance pulled up and that they were walking on the sidewalk. That's all I remembered.

When I did wake up, I was asked by the surgeon if I knew what happened and why I was at the hospital, and I said no. I was informed that I had a massive heart attack, I coded at home and was brought back, and then again once at the hospital. I was told I would be going to ICU.

After being released from the hospital, I went back a day later. I was informed I would need another surgery on my heart once it got stronger, probably in 30 days. On September 29, I had another surgery.

I have been out of work for the last few weeks without pay. I started this job in June 2025, so I didn't have PTO or sick time. So, I have not gotten a paycheck. I need help so I can pay rent, car insurance, among other bills.

I am hoping to get help so that I am not facing eviction, and everything else like dog food, groceries, utilities, car insurance, cell phone, etc.

After reading my story, I hope that you can find it in you to help me. I am trying to stay strong and not be stressed, but it truly is difficult, so a friend suggested I do a GoFundMe.

Lastly, I really want to thank my Bella. If it was not for her, I would not be alive today.
