This page has been created to help my sister and her family after my sister was diagnosed with Stage 4 Brain Cancer called Gliobastoma following her surgery on 7-2-2020.
My sister (Diana Bagwell - better known by her nickname as "Dinker") recently experienced what we thought was a stroke and was taken via an ambulance to Kaiser Hospital in Ontario, California. After tons of tests, she was told (by herself, because her husband was not allowed to be with her in the hospital) that she had a large mass in her brain that needed to be operated on ASAP. She underwent brain surgery the following day. From the time the doctor said a prayer with her, her husband (Ed) and her son (James) (via cell phone) before the surgery, to the time she made it to the recovery room, everything went extremely well and far better than expected. She was to spend five days in the hospital, but was released after only two because she was recovering so well.
A couple days after being released she received a call with results from the surgery. She was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer (with some crazy name!) which is officially classified as "incurable". She is currently working with her doctors to begin a regiment of chemotherapy with the time frame to be determined hopefully within the next week or two.
This page is being created to assist her and her family (the Bagwell's) with all of their unexpected needs and doctor appointments that will be associated with her "new unwelcome friend", such as a stair lift to assist her in getting to the main second floor of their condo (the first floor being the garage).
Through these trying times we are experiencing blessings and miracles on a daily basis. If you are in a position to help with any level of donation we want to thank you in advance from the bottom of our hearts.
First and foremost, regardless of whether you are able to donate or not, we want to ask you to help us in praying for my sister and her family during this stressful time in their lives as our family truly believes that "Prayer Changes Things".
