Hi everyone,
My name is Dinasty and I'm thrilled to share that I've been accepted into Hunter College's exchange program to study in London for this upcoming Fall 2024 semester! I am a first-generation, queer, Black and Hispanic student from Harlem, currently a rising senior at Hunter College, pursuing a degree in Computer Science with a minor in Emerging Media.
Why This Means the World to Me
This opportunity is a dream come true. As someone who has been a commuter student due to financial constraints, the chance to study abroad and immerse myself in a new culture is both exciting and transformative. I will be taking courses that align with my passions—Data Engineering, Robotics, Game Development, and Embedded Systems—while building connections abroad and engaging in meaningful projects.
At Hunter, I serve as an event coordinator at the girls who code club and i’m excited to continue to build connections and create inclusive and accepting spaces for people to explore their passion of STEM while abroad. Studying in London will also allow me to bring back new ideas and experiences to further this mission!
