Help Dina-Rosa attend the Royal College of Music

My name is Dina-Rosa, I want to become both a world-renowned clarinet player and an inspirational classical musician. I need your help to make this happen.

A $49 plastic clarinet from Amazon kicked off my journey at age 11, now I have won a place at the world-famous Royal College of Music, London (RCM) starting in September. RCM alumni include Andrew Lloyd Webber, Lang Lang, Benjamin Britten, Gustav Holst, Ralph Vaughan Williams, John Williams, James Galway, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, and so many more!

Despite having British parents, I face extremely high school fees because we reside in the US, I must pay foreign student rates - a whopping 3 X that of domestic students.

Everybody knows that London is one of the great cities in the world and one of the most expensive. It is an ugly reality today that aspiring musicians, especially classical musicians, face financial hardships - the costs of music school parallel those of attending Harvard! This is where you can come into play. I need to fund $75,000 to have the opportunity to experience, learn, and thrive in an environment with other ambitious and like-minded musicians.

Despite working many long and hard hours in a restaurant and teaching clarinet lessons, I still need your help to enable me to study at this prestigious school for four years.

I’m told that I’m pretty good at the clarinet, I’ve won international youth competitions and been asked to be ‘on call’ for a professional orchestra. I’d be delighted if you could listen and judge for yourself by watching the 1-minute video below and visiting my youtube channel.

In case you wondered, I am 17 and live in Portland, Oregon. I graduated with honors two years early from high school. I am a classical music crusader and relish the opportunities I have been given to spread the many benefits of classical music to my peers and evangelize how classical music can benefit mental well-being around the globe. I have been conducting research on the positive effects of classical music on Youth's mental health. My grandmother suffered much of the second half of her life with mental illness, the subject is close to my heart.

Outside of practicing 4 hours a day and working, I’m found playing at local schools, retirement homes, and in my garage to audiences recruited from my neighborhood - I just want to play the clarinet.

I have succeeded in spreading the wonderment of classical music to my social networks and delight in over 25,000 followers and over 10 million video views so far.

I’m asking you to play your part in supporting me with a donation that is literally investing in my future. If this is just not for you then I’d appreciate you sharing this with somebody in your network that you know can help.

Investing in the future of classical music is not for everybody, but if it is for you, thank you. Please know that any funds raised above and beyond my needs will be kindly donated to the following charities in the name of “Youth Support for Classical Music.”

For any individual or corporation who donates $500 or more then I’d like to offer my time and effort in the following ways:-

- Teaching you how to play the clarinet
- Providing tickets to come and see me perform in London
- Requests: Film special recordings such as birthday songs, or other messages for loved ones.
- Perform a virtual concert.

With sincere appreciation,
