My name is Yosri, from Canada, and I'm raising funds for my friend Dina, a single mother, and her two year old child, Yazan, who both live in Gaza City. The funds will be sent directly to and used to help Dina in building her life again and planning for her and her family's future. Please take a moment to read Dina's own words:

I am Dina Ajour, 28 years old, from Gaza, Palestine. Until October 7, 2023, I was working as a teacher for school and university students, in addition to being a devoted and loving mother to my wonderful two-year-old son, Yazan.

On that fateful day, my family and I were faced with the terrible choice of leaving our home in Gaza City to save our lives. We sought refuge in Mawasi Khan Younis, leaving behind not only our belongings but also our dreams and cherished memories.

It has been more than a year and seven months since we were forced to abandon our normal lives. The ongoing conflict has brought immense suffering to all of us. My home and my parents' adjacent house were bombed during the holy month of Ramadan while we were inside, and we were besieged there for over 13 days without food or water. Our pain deepened on March 18, when a direct missile strike by Israeli forces on Al-Shifa Hospital claimed the life of my eldest sister and left her daughter with tragic injuries. Thankfully, her husband and their three daughters survived this horrific attack.

The conflict has drained our financial resources and forced us to ration basic necessities like food and clothing. As Israeli forces continue advancing toward Gaza, our situation grows more desperate—we are at risk of displacement at any moment.

My son Yazan and I are in urgent need of your support to help us survive this devastating war. Any assistance you can offer, no matter how small, would be invaluable. Sharing our story with others would also be a tremendous help.
