Dear Friends,
I am a close friend of Din Reddy Annadi, a recent graduate with a Master’s in Management and Information Sciences from Auburn University at Montgomery, Alabama.
On the night of September 21, 2025, around 10 PM, Din was involved in a devastating accident at an intersection on Coliseum Blvd, Montgomery, Alabama. While attempting to make a left turn, his car was struck on the right side by an oncoming high-speed SUV. The impact caused the vehicle to somersault three times, as confirmed by eyewitnesses at the scene.
The crash left Din with severe injuries:
Multiple fractures in his skull, leading to extensive brain damage
Internal bleeding that pushed his eyes outward
A fractured leg, shoulder, spine, and fractures below the eye sockets
His car was completely destroyed, and rescue workers had to cut through the wreckage to pull him out. Din was rushed to Jackson Hospital, Montgomery, and later airlifted to the University of Birmingham Medical Center for emergency brain surgery. A team of five doctors operated on him and thankfully declared him out of immediate life risk. However, he still requires multiple surgeries to repair fractures in his eye sockets, leg, spine, and shoulder.
Din has always been a responsible and law-abiding driver, and I firmly believe that this tragedy occurred through no fault of his own.
Unfortunately, as a recent graduate, Din does not have health insurance, and the medical expenses are overwhelming for his family. He is the only son to his parents, who are now enduring unimaginable emotional and financial stress.
Like many students from India pursuing their dreams in the U.S., Din came here with high hopes of building a successful future. Today, those dreams are on hold as he bravely fights for recovery.
I kindly ask you to extend financial support to help Din and his family cover the mounting medical expenses. Any contribution, big or small, would mean the world to us and make a real difference in his recovery journey. We also request you to keep Din in your thoughts and prayers for his strength and speedy recovery.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Samson
