Dear Friends,

As you may know, our friend Dimitri was recently diagnosed with colon cancer. In February, he had surgery to remove the cancer, but a follow-up scan showed that it had spread to a lymph node. Dimitri is now undergoing chemo treatments, which he will continue through the end of June.

As a result of the surgery and follow-up treatment, Dimitri has been unable to work. And in addition to covering their living expenses, he and Gail are anticipating other, as-yet unforeseen expenses in the near future. For starters, Medicare does not cover all the necessary medication to assure Dimitri’s successful recovery. We are hoping that we can come together as a community to help ease the financial burden that our dear friends face in the immediate future. Please consider making a donation of any amount, and help us spread the word to others who know and love them.

All funds collected will go directly to Dimitri and Gail to help cover medical and general living expenses during this challenging time. Any amount will be much appreciated, as we so look forward to seeing Dimitri out and about again, biking around town, mixing drinks behind the bar, and belting out the blues.
