Many will say that Dillon genuinely has the most selfless soul you can come across, which is saying quite a bit as most 20 year old's tend to focus on themselves. If you know Dillon personally, you would agree that Dillon easily lights up the room with his hearty laugh, and would drop hours of his time to help anyone in need.
Just days after his 20th birthday, Dillon was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia - a very rare, serious type of cancer that is not common in young adults. The foreseeable future will be filled with months at a hospital, battling chemotherapy and receiving bone marrow transplants. When released from the hospital, Dillon will be at very high risk of contracting infections/viruses, so he will be required to stay home for many months while his immune system recovers. While this medical diagnosis has rocked Dillon's world, his positive demeanor has not changed. Dillon is persistent in letting everyone know that he WILL beat cancer, as he has so much to live for, including getting to know his newest nephew.
We realize the financial stress that Leukemia can bring and want to help relieve some of the financial burden so the focus can be on Dillon’s care. We are asking for donations to help Dillon and his family with expenses for life-saving medications and treatments that may not be covered by insurance.
It is not always easy to ask for help but we desperately need any and all the help we can get. Due to the seriousness of this disease, we are asking that you contribute to help Dillon as soon as possible.
