Hi Everyone, this is Dilbert- a 12 year old min pin who has received some pretty bad news. On July 31,2020 I had to take my little man to the vet first thing in the morning, he was crying in a way I’ve never heard before,
We did some xrays and it came back with Dilbert has :Spondylosis, arthritis, bone spurs in his lower back, there is bridging as noted in his xrays which means parts of his spine are fusing together, which makes it very hard for him to walk without crying.
Anytime I have ever seen him limp I have always attributed it to his age, as we all move a little slower as we get older.
The vet told me Dilbert is an overall healthy pup but surgery should be considered, or looking at other pain management options, if age plays a factor on why surgery might not be possible
Due to financial stress I do not have the funds to do this for him. I am hoping by setting this up it will help him get what he needs.
He is currently on pain meds, but I am hopeful that won’t be what the rest of his life is like.
Thank you for you time
