Diesel is our beloved 4-year-old dog who has always been full of energy and love. Recently, he started having trouble peeing, and we rushed him to the vet. They told us he had a swollen prostate blocking his urine and recommended surgery to clear the pathways. We did everything they suggested, but after a week, Diesel still wasn’t eating and continued to struggle with urination. The vet assured us it was normal after surgery, but nothing improved.

After five days of no progress, we trusted our instincts and brought Diesel back in. That’s when we learned his bladder was dangerously full and ready to burst, which explained why he wasn’t eating. Further tests revealed a cancer-like cyst on his penis, which was actually causing the blockage all along. The vets admitted they may have made a mistake, and now Diesel’s kidneys are being affected as well.

We’ve already spent so much on his care, but now Diesel needs another major surgery to remove the mass and re-route his urinary tract.
