Hi, my name is Diego. I’m a husband, a father, and a very proud grandfather to a beautiful 2-year-old — with another grandchild on the way. I’ve always been a hardworking man — the kind of person who pushes through no matter what. But recently, life gave me a challenge I never saw coming.

I started feeling tired all the time, much more than usual. After some blood work, my doctors noticed abnormal proteins, and after several more tests, I received a diagnosis that shook our entire family: multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer.

Physically, this has been a tough journey. But emotionally, it’s been even harder — especially for my family. They are deeply worried, but their love and support have kept me going every day. I’m fighting with everything I’ve got because I want to continue being here for them — to hold my grandchildren, to watch my kids thrive, and to grow old alongside my wife.

While I do have health insurance, it unfortunately does not cover all the medications, lab work, and treatments I need. These costs are overwhelming, and without help, I’m at risk of going into deep debt just trying to stay alive.
