Please help Diego and his family

Diego Acuna, 19 years old has his whole life ahead of him. Diego suffered a severe stroke while in Cabo San Lucas on vacation for Labor Day weekend with family and friends. The stroke affected the right side of his brain causing severe damage. He had to have a surgery to remove part of his right skull (decompressive craniectomy) which is an emergency procedure used to relieve dangerous pressure and swelling in the brain. Diego is currently in the ICU intubated in Mexico, doctors are waiting for the swelling of the brain to decrease. His parents are eager to fly him closer to home via medical ambulance to get the care he needs. Diego faces a long road to recovery: His parents are going through a very difficult time right now, they would have never imagined this to happen to their son.

About Diego, full of joy and happiness, such a caring person, and just full of life. Class of 2025 Graduated from Don Bosco Tech Institute. Currently attending a pathway program to attend Loyola Marymount University in August 2027, his goal was to enter Loyola’s medical program and one day be able to study in the field of oncology..!! His favorite basketball team is the Golden State Warriors and his favorite player is Stephen Curry.. He enjoys the water from Huntington Beach all the way to the Colorado river, and not to mention video games at Dave & Buster’s. Diego enjoyed tutoring friends at Bosco who struggled with math and physics. Enjoys dancing to band at Pico River sports Arena and riding quad runners in the desert. Diego has a love for music, playing guitar, and hanging out with friends.
