My name is Dice Jones. I'm at double amputee quadriplegic. I'm bound to a wheelchair after getting gunned down in Florida, almost 10 years ago. I lost my two limbs saving my dog from getting ran over by a train in 2013. So it's been a struggle but I have made the best out of it. However the last eight months I've had an ongoing bed sore, which could be fatal if not treated. I got accepted for a flap surgery; where they can go in and surgically fix it. However, the recovery time is anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks. I found a way where I can spend that time healing in the comfort of my own home instead of being stuck in a hospital/ nursing home setting, in which I would not feel comfortable or get the proper care. I found a company that will rent what is called a Dolphin bed to me. My insurance does not cover this, so I'm paying out of pocket. It is $1600 /month. Thank you so much for reading this.
