Hi everyone,

My name is Diary, I’m 15 years old, and I’ve been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with Checkmat Madagascar since 2019.

What began as a simple curiosity has become my greatest passion — a path that’s taught me discipline, respect, and resilience.

Since I started competing in 2022, I’ve proudly brought home:

15 gold medals

2 silver medals

Including gold at the Open Africa 2023 — representing my country with pride.

On November 12, 2025, I’ve been given the incredible chance to represent Madagascar at the Abu Dhabi World Jiu-Jitsu Festival — one of the biggest youth championships in the world.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of L’Usine Fitness & Boxing, my registration is confirmed, and with support from Groupe Colas Madagascar, my flight ticket is covered.

Now, I’m raising funds to cover my remaining essential expenses:

Remaining visa fee : 250.000ar ~ $57

Accomodation : 1.500.000ar ~ $338

Meals : 1.000.000ar ~ $225

Local transportation: 1.000.000ar ~ $225

The remaining amount needed BY NOVEMBER 8 is 3,800,000 Ariary (around $800 USD).

Every donation, no matter the size, will bring me closer to this dream — to step onto the mats in Abu Dhabi wearing the colors of Madagascar and make my country proud.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Diary was unable to step onto the mat and proudly raise the flag of our nation, due to a knee injury.

This moment is difficult, not only for her, but also for her family, friends, compatriots, and especially for the big Malagasy Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu family.

We know how hard she trained with determination, discipline and passion to represent our colors with honor. But sometimes, life reminds us with humility that health and physical safety always come first.

We would like to apologize to everyone who had their hopes in this competition, aware of our duty to deliver results. This is not a defeat, but rather a chapter that strengthens our spirit and our commitment.
