Help Dianne Thomson Get Through Some Anxious Times

Hi! We are friends of Dianne Thomson. Many of you know her as a long term fixture in Vancouver's West End. Many of you also know her as a Karaoke Diva, too! Her raucous versions of "Whole Lotta Love", "You Give Me Fever" and "You Can Leave Your Hat On" have become legendary. I know people who take out of town guests to the local karaoke shows JUST to hear Dianne's unique renditions of these well known songs.

 

We all run into difficulty from time to time, that is caused by actions that were out of our control. Dianne has just had such a difficulty which resulted in the small monthly stipend that she lives on for rent, food etc. to be slashed in half. Too proud to ask for help, a few of us who were aware of her dire situation decided to raise awareness of her situation via GoFundMe. We know that many of you are able to help, even if it's a small amount. No one wants to see our 80 year old Karaoke Diva have to move out of her apartment. The alternatives are not pleasant, nor are they plentiful.

 

As people who LOVE to sing and share the joy and camaraderie that it brings, WE MUST HELP DIANNE in her time of need! There's the opportunity that her situation will correct itself in 2022, but until then, she really needs our help. The dollar figure that we have set is a grand total that she will need for approx. 6 months beginning immediately, so a monthly total of $2,500 will eliminate her anxieties and ensure a smooth road ahead. Whether you're able to give via a lump sum, or by a monthly gift, your help is graciously appreciated and humbly accepted.

 

She's a kind, caring, compassionate friend who has a difficult time asking for help. Next time you see her give her a soft squeeze and say, "I understand, and I'm happy to help". You know she'd be the first one to do it for you, if the shoe was on the other foot.
