My name is Kelly Rasmussen and my dear friend and colleague, Diane Voge, has been diagnosed with breast cancer.  She is truly more like an older sister to me, and I have had the privilege of teaching with her for eighteen years.  Due to the fact that we know each other so well, we have the unique gift of finishing each other's sentences!  She is like a soul sister to me and we understand how each other thinks. 
She is one of the most beautiful people I know, inside and out.  Everyone adores her!  She is unbelievably kind, smart, loving, thoughtful, and compassionate.  She always puts her family and her students first, and never asks for anything for herself.  She is selfless really.  She has an unbelievably positive mindset and has the gift of making others laugh!  In her lifetime, she has experienced so much heartache, and she never complains, but only counts her blessings.    
I created the opportunity for a half-marathon and 5K on her behalf.  Myself, many of my colleagues, and family members are training for the Wisconsin Half-Marathon and 5K on May 1, 2021, in Kenosha, Wisconsin.  T-shirts for "Team Diane" and "I Run for Diane" have been created and generously donated by Otto Image Services, Inc., for the event.  We will run, walk, and support her on the sidelines during this event, as well as share our Go Fund Me page with our social networks in order to raise money for someone so deserving.  
She has had surgery and she has additional treatments ahead.  The cost is immense.  She will need the support of her loved friends and family so she can get healthy and eliminate the stress load of so much financial burden.  Diane is beyond grateful for your support and very touched by your thoughtfulness.  She is a true gift to the world and all the lives she impacts.  With her positive mindset, and all the love from her family and friends, she will beat this!
