Help Diane and Keith Soucy Through Losses
Hi, my name is Valita and I am raising funds for my Aunt Diane and my cousin Keith (both of whom would give you the shirt off their back). In August 2021, Keith’s home and barn burnt to the ground, leaving him and his newborn goats homeless. Later that same week, the unimaginable occurred when his sister Priscilla passed away unexpectedly. The loss of Priscilla absolutely devastated my Aunt Diane and cousin Keith who were both still reeling from the disastrous house/barn fire.
In her youth, Priscilla was a sweet, artistic, energetic, charismatic, and beautiful individual. Tragically, Priscilla was later afflicted with mental illness/schizophrenia which led to life altering addictions. Diane spent countless hours and sleepless nights trying to help her precious daughter. All to no avail! No mother should have to bury her child. No brother should have to say an untimely goodbye to his sister while also grieving the loss of his home, barn, and all of his possessions (including all of Diane’s pictures of Priscilla and Keith’s infancy/childhood). Prior to the fire and the passing of Priscilla, plans were underway for the construction of Diane’s home. Unfortunately, thousands of dollars of tools, solar equipment, and battery inverters were lost in the fire that totalled Keith’s home and barn and literally left him with only the shirt on his back and his goats and livestock barn-less. Both Diane and Keith are currently “homeless” (living in a small camper) and facing the epic challenge and stress of grieving for Priscilla, with the constant worry of how and when their homes and barn will be built. All donations will help alleviate some of the overwhelming pressure that they are currently burdened with. All funds will go towards Priscilla’s funeral arrangements, as well as the purchase of tools, materials, and solar system for the construction of Diane and Keith’s homes. No one should have to go through the unthinkable losses Diane and Keith are suffering through. Any donation is greatly appreciated and I wish to sincerely thank you! This fundraiser means the world to me, as it will undoubtedly for Diane and Keith.
