Help Diane Get Back On Her Feet
Donation protected
On behalf of Diane we are putting together a fundraising effort to assist her with physical therapy and medical bills that are piling up quickly after three weeks of hospitalization and post care. Any contributions from our friends and dog lovers will be much appreciated and will help her get back to training dogs again living a normal life. She is still very excited about being a trainer and helping both dogs and their owners in Orange County. In the meantime, let's help her!!
Her story...
Diane is a new trainer in Orange County, California who was in her first month of training dogs. She just moved to OC from Florida with her adopted dog Judah who had some serious aggression issues. Diane has a huge heart and wanted to save him from certain euthanasia and give Judah a fighting chance in life by trying to work with him. Unfortunately not all dogs can be rehabilitated and it almost cost Diane her life as a result. Six weeks into launching her territory in Orange County Diane was viciously attacked by Judah when she least expected it. Diane was working on the computer when she stopped petting Judah at which time he turned on her and attacked her for 30 minutes straight with very brief breaks in between until the police arrived and tasered the dog while shortly thereafter euthanizing him the parking lot. Diane barely survived by crawling out on the balcony and yelling for help and waited for the police to arrive while sustaining a broken arm, dislocated elbow, dozens of serious bite wounds all over her body. She almost lost her life on the front porch but fortunately paramedics saved her rushing her to the hospital for a blood transfusion due to the massive amounts of blood loss, vascular reconstructive surgery, elbow and arm surgery while receiving hundreds of staples and stiches. 8 hours of surgery later she emerged patched back together with a long road of recovery ahead of her not to mention permanent mental trauma from the incident.
It remains to be seen how much she can truly bounce back from such a horrific situation but we are all here to support her in her time of need.
Diane and her family thank you in advance for any help offered at all as it will most certainly go towards good use with mounting medical bills totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars at this point.
