August 7th my mom lost her job. On August 8th our family received the news that no one ever wants to hear my mom has been diagnosed with breast cancer stage 2/3. To say our world was turned upside down would be an understatement. In just 24 hours everything changed. Anyone who knows my mom knows how selfless and kind-hearted she is. She’s the first person to show up when someone needs a helping hand, a home-cooked meal, or simply a shoulder to cry on. She has always given so much of herself to others and now she’s facing one of the toughest battles of her life. The past few weeks have been filled with doctor’s appointments, tests, and countless emotions. We’re doing our best to stay positive and focused on her recovery but the reality is that the financial burden is overwhelming. Between medical bills, treatment costs, travel expenses, and everyday living costs, things are adding up quickly. My mom deserves the best care possible and the peace of mind to focus on healing, not on how the bills will be paid. That’s why we’re asking for help whether it’s through donations, sharing our story, or sending prayers and words of encouragement. Every bit of support, no matter how small, makes a difference and reminds us that we’re not alone in this fight. We know that with faith, love, and community my mom can overcome this. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who has reached out, prayed, donated, or simply offered kind words. Your love and support gives her the strength to keep fighting every single day.
