Well what a year... In January of 2022 Diane had a stroke and then in February Rick suffered acute kidney failure which means he now needs dialysis for life. It has been a tough road to recovery but they are both fighting the good fight and Diane is already walking again so well! One step at a time... and the critical next step is making sure that they can still get around to handle the daily business of living. Right now they have an old Subaru Forester and an even older Chevy Astro and unfortunately neither of them are safe for Rick or Diane to drive. We are selling the two cars to raise money for one pre-owned Subaru Outback with automatic transmission, the perfect car for safety on the mountain roads that will get Rick to his dialysis clinic in Eugene.

My name is Ean and I am Rick and Diane's son. Once we sell their cars we'll combine that money with what we can raise here in order to purchase a pre-owned Outback down where I live in California, where they are much less expensive. Then I will drive their new car up to them with a heart full of love and hope for their ability to keep on thriving and loving their community in Oakridge.
