Diana and Garrett Meredith were high school sweethearts and best friends.
Garrett, a class of 2014 graduate of Sackets Harbor Central School, proudly served his country in the United States Army and completed two tours in Afghanistan between the years of 2015 to 2019. He was a friend to all; always the one to be there to lend a shoulder and support others.
On May 24, 2021 Diana tragically and suddenly lost her husband and soulmate. His death was unexpected and will leave a void in her heart forever. It is unimaginable to have to face this type of loss so young, and to deal with navigating all of the transitions ahead.
So many have reached out and asked what they can do and how to contribute, so we’ve created this page to provide an outlet for those wishes.
End-of-life saving was not yet part of their plans, and since Garrett was so beloved, there will be a celebration of life in Colorado Springs, as well as a service in Sackets Harbor with military funeral honors in the future. This will ensure that all who wish to pay their respects to Garrett and his family get the chance. Your contributions will help give Diana the time she needs to mourn and grieve her loss without having to worry about financial costs.
