Hello everyone, many of you are aware of the horrible devastation caused by the Eaton fire that continues to burn in Altadena. Many of us were heartbroken to learn that our dear friend, Diana Treister lost her home in the devastating Eaton fire. She has lost everything—her beautiful little hideaway she called her home for the past 15 years, her belongings, and a lifetime of memories. The one saving grace is that she was able to get out safely along with her beloved cat Chips. She invested countless hours of blood, sweat and tears into making her home what it was. Every improvement and every home project was done by Diana. She lost all her ski gear, new & old, her adventure gear, most all of her knitting (and all that goes with it) yarn, beautiful hand knits she made that were some of her very favorite things. To make matters worse, her mom lost her house to a bad mudslide last February, and she took many items from her house to hers either for safekeeping, or to keep as mementos for herself. Those things are all gone now too. Like me, many of you know Diana from being a huge part of our trail running community. She has so much love for her community, the mountains, and the place she and so many called home. She has done countless hours of trail work on the very trails that have burned. She is always giving back and never ever asking for anything in return. Diana is an ER nurse, and when she's not out in the mountains on an adventure or working on her home, she is caring for patients. She is one of the most thoughtful and kind humans you will ever meet. She is no stranger to doing hard things as anyone who has seen her take on AC100 knows. She is tough and resilient but could really use some help to get back on track. All funds raised will go DIRECTLY to Diana and will go toward her recovery. If you are able to contribute, it will be deeply appreciated. And if financial support isn’t possible, please consider sharing this campaign. Thank you from the bottom of our heart for your compassion and for standing by Diana during this truly devastating time.
