Help Diana Rebuild Her Life After Domestic Violence
This is my dear friend Diana. She came to the United States with her husband and four young children to escape war and build a better life. I met Diana in 2023 when she was working at a nail salon. Even though she barely spoke English at the time, we instantly connected. I could see how caring, genuine, and talented she was, even though the salon environment wasn’t right for her.
Not long after, Diana bravely left that toxic workplace and started her own business as a nail artist. I was so proud to watch her glow and grow. But behind her hard work and radiant smile, she was carrying a painful truth—her marriage was not safe or happy.
On August 29, 2025, after Diana told her husband she wanted a divorce, he brutally attacked her in front of their children (ages 1–4). He beat her, choked her until she passed out, and degraded her in ways no human being should ever endure. When she regained consciousness, she called the police and medics. She was treated for a broken nose, several broken front teeth, a head wound, and bruises covering her body. Thankfully, her children are now safe, her husband is in jail, and she has a restraining order.
But Diana now faces a new challenge: surviving and providing for her children alone. She is the only breadwinner, working seven days a week to support her family. When she turned to social services for help, she was told she could only receive housing support if she stopped working—or else accept placement in a homeless shelter with her children. Diana is not someone who wants to rely on the system. She is determined, hardworking, and talented. She simply needs a safe place to live so she can continue working and caring for her children.
That’s why I am asking for your help. Please join me in supporting Diana during this time. Your contribution will go directly toward securing housing and stability for her and her kids so they can start fresh, free from violence and fear.
No amount is too small—every bit of help brings Diana and her children closer to safety and hope. Thank you for standing with her in rebuilding her life.
