Help Diana Hartig Fight Ovarian Cancer

Hi everyone! My name is Caitlan Hartig, and my parents, Diana and Chris Hartig, are looking for financial assistance with their medical bills.

 

In August of 2021, my family was given the earth-shattering news that my mother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer stage 3C. We were told that it had spread to her abdominal wall and colon, which led her to get an extensive surgery and an ileostomy bag. Due to this, my mother has been in and out of the hospital for multiple blockages requiring long stays and expensive procedures. She recently completed a challenging course of chemotherapy and is currently on chemo maintenance pills, which have caused her horrible side effects. My mother has been on medical leave as the recovery has been very slow and tough on her body. Since she has been diagnosed, she's suffered from malnourishment and has become very underweight.

 

This month, my father had to undergo a left total hip replacement surgery and will need his right hip done in August. The only income they have at the moment is my mother's disability monthly benefit, which is 50% of her regular check and is just enough to pay the mortgage alone. My parents raised four kids and are finally at the stage where they can spend and enjoy being empty-nesters and first-time grandparents, but haven't been able to due to these challenges they've met and had to endure.

 

Growing up, my parents prioritized a great life for their children; often setting aside their own health and financial issues to ensure the happiness of the four kids that were lucky enough to call them parents. Now, it's time that they're prioritized. My family and I will be extrememly grateful for any donations. Thank you.
