Hi, my name is Diana. I’m a single mom to my daughter, and right now I’m honestly feeling overwhelmed and a little lost.
About three weeks ago, my car broke down while I was driving back from my daughter’s appointment. It wouldn’t go into reverse or shift gears, and I had no choice but to tow it. Since then, I’ve had to tow it again just to get answers, and I finally got the call… the transmission clutch failed. This actually happened once before in 2022 and I paid to have it fixed, but now it’s gone out again—and this time it’s worse. Other parts were damaged too, and the total cost is now close to $5,000.
I’m doing everything I can, but I just can’t afford this right now. This is my only vehicle—the only way I can get to work and get my daughter safely to daycare. Without it, everything feels like it’s falling apart. I’ve managed to pay a small portion, but I’m still so far from what’s needed, and I don’t know what else to do.
It’s really hard for me to ask for help like this, and I feel embarrassed even writing this. But if anyone is able to help, even just $1, it would mean more to me than I can put into words. Every little bit truly helps.
I know times are hard for everyone right now, and I completely understand if you can’t give—but even sharing this would mean so much. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for any kindness or support you can offer. I truly appreciate it more than you know.
