My name is Kristina Lazareva, and I am raising funds for my sister Diana Filatov and her family who live in Raymond, Maine.

On December 9, my brother-in-law Pavel Filatov had an unfortunate accident at work. He was working on a roof when he fell down on the ground, hitting his head and landing on his back. He lost consciousness and cannot remember how it all happened. The ambulance took him to Maine Medical Center where, after numerous tests (MRI, CT scans, X-rays), they discovered that he fractured 3 vertebrae (C6, T1, T2) in his neck and back and also needed 7 staples for a major head laceration. He currently also has numbness in his fingers and weakness in his hands.

The doctor has told us that he wouldn't need surgery, but he still has a long and painful recovery road ahead of him. He needs to wear a neck brace at all times. Pavel can't drive, work, lift over 7 pounds, lift his arms up, push, pull, etc., for about 3 months. He has a wife and four small kids ages (9, 7, 4, 2) and is the only provider in the family. He is a self-employed carpenter and doesn't have any disability insurance.

Please pray for their family as they go through this very difficult time. Pavel is in a lot of pain and needs prayers for God to send him strength. We are very thankful for every donation that will help them pay the monthly household bills and medical expenses. May God bless everyone abundantly!
