Dear Community,
My name is John Brackett and my wife is Debbie Brackett.
Our dear friends Diana Paopao and her family need our help. For those of you that do have the privilege to know Diana, she is an AMAZING mother of 5 hard working/giving children, and wife of Paul Paopao.
The Paopao family has dedicated their life to community ministry. When Diana and Paul are not serving in their church, you can find them helping others in need. Paul donates his weekends coaching at risk youth (Living Hope Athletic Training). The youth program was started by football legend Junior Seau on the beaches of Oceanside, CA nearly 15 years ago.
Their daughter Te-hina just started her freshman year playing basketball at the University of Oregon. Their son Isaia just started his junior year playing football at South Dakota College. Their youngest son Losefa is a Junior at Oceanside high school. All of their children are now giving back to Living Hope Athletic Training as coaches.
Diana was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer at the end of 2020. Diana being the strong and gracious woman she is, never asks for help and continues to search for ways to serve and give to others. Unfortunately, chemotherapy has started to sap her energy, restricting her mobility, and further limiting her income capabilities.
We would like to raise money to help with medical bills and expenses along this tough journey. Any amount of donation will help. Our goal is $10,000 by April 11, 2021. Your donations will be electronically transferred (2-3 days) directly to Diana Paopao for doctor visits, medical expenses, treatments, and any other family expenses.
Please contact us if you have any resources or information to pass on to the family. Your encouraging posts are very much appreciated. We appreciate you sharing this cause with your network. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Paopao family.
*John Brackett is running in the Tough Mudder on April 11, 2021 (10 Mile Run, 25 Obstacles) to raise awareness for this cause. You can follow John on Facebook or Instagram for weekly updates.
