Many folks know either David, Diana, or Marni as their kind neighbors, wonderful pet owners, brilliant authors, or involved members of their community.
Unfortunately, they have suffered a horrific loss, when their house caught fire after being shot with an illegal firework. The families beloved dogs and cat were removed from the building safely, but Marni's Budgie, Typo is missing. He is believed to have flown from the house during the fire and is at large. (He is a Blue Budgie, please keep an eye out for him.)
The home burned for several hours, the upstairs entirely taken by fire and the downstairs ravaged by water damage. David and Diana, and Marni did not escape with any belongings. They will need a rental, as well as some replacement necessities while the house is rebuilt. It is expected to take months.
These folks are selfless and dedicated members of their community, having donated both time and money to others in need. They did not deserve what happened to their home, but as a community we can make sure that is where their tragedy ends. Please consider donating to cover the costs of a short term rental, medical and mental health care for both humans and animals, and cost of living while they attempt to recover from this horrific incident.
