Help Diana Complete Her Financial Technology Masters Degree
Donativo protegido
My name is Diana Serwaa Appiah, and I'm reaching out with an urgent plea. I'm a Ghanaian student at the University of Bradford in the UK, where I'm studying for my MSc in Financial Technology. I'm just months away from completing my degree, but I'm facing an unexpected financial crisis that threatens everything I've worked for.
My Situation
In 2023, I was awarded a prestigious scholarship from the Ghana Scholarships Secretariat to cover my tuition (£19,494) and living expenses (£12,276) for my studies in the UK. This scholarship was a dream come true – an opportunity to gain world-class education.
Despite having an official Financial Guarantee Letter from the Ghana Scholarships Secretariat, the promised funds have not been disbursed. Now, my university has issued a suspension notice due to unpaid fees of £19,494, which have been overdue for 166 days. If I don't pay by May 9th, 2025:
- I will be suspended from my studies
- I won't be able to access university facilities
- I won't be able to access my final dissertation results
- My visa status will be reported to UK immigration authorities
- All my hard work and sacrifice will be lost just months before graduation
Why This Matters
Education has always been my path to a better future. Coming from Ghana to study in the UK has been challenging but incredibly rewarding. I've maintained good academic standing throughout my program, fulfilling all the scholarship conditions including "Good Academic Performance" and "Good Conduct." I've worked tirelessly on my coursework while adapting to life in a new country, far from family and support systems.
What I Need
I urgently need to raise £19,494 (approximately $24,500) to clear my tuition fees and secure my ability to complete my degree. Any amount you can contribute will help me reach this goal and save my education.
## How Your Help Will Impact Me
Your support will:
- Allow me to complete my Master's degree in Financial Technology
- Preserve my immigration status in the UK until I complete my studies
- Honor the investment already made in my education
- Give me the chance to fulfill my potential and give back to my community
I never imagined having to make this appeal. The scholarship was supposed to secure my education, but this unforeseen situation has left me with no other options. I'm determined not to let this setback deny me the future I've worked so hard for.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference. If you cannot donate, please share my campaign with others who might be able to help.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and consider supporting my education. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
With sincere gratitude,
