My name is Diana Carolina Bedoya P, and I am reaching out to you with a heart full of hope and a story that intertwines dreams, resilience, and an unwavering passion for music. I am a first-generation college student, currently in my third year at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, where I am pursuing dual majors. This journey has been marked by significant challenges and immense determination, and now, I am seeking your support to help me complete my studies and achieve my lifelong dream.

Originally from Colombia, I moved to the United States in 2007 with a heart full of dreams and a spirit ready to conquer the world. The year 2007 was a pivotal one for me, marked by the loss of my father to a terminal illness on Father's Day. His passing left a void in my heart and changed the trajectory of my life. Just six months after his death, I made the bold decision to immigrate to the US, driven by a desire to build a better future and keep my father's memory alive through my success. As an immigrant, I embraced every opportunity that came my way. I worked tirelessly in various jobs – cleaning houses and offices, babysitting, waiting tables, working at an insurance agency, in a shelter, and at a clinic. Each job taught me resilience and the value of hard work. Simultaneously, I studied English and volunteered at my church, where I discovered my true calling as a singer. It was here that the dream of evangelizing through music was born. My journey towards professional music preparation began seven years later when I enrolled in a Community College and earned an associate degree in liberal arts. It took fourteen years from my arrival in the United States to finally pursue my dream of studying music. Today, I am proud to be a student at Berklee College of Music, a place that nurtures my passion and helps me refine my talents. While I am incredibly grateful for the significant scholarship from Berklee, it only covers part of my tuition fees. My living expenses, including rent, food, books, and necessary software for my studies, remain a significant financial burden. Despite the support from my mother and my part-time jobs, these expenses far exceed my income, putting my continuation at Berklee at risk. This is where I humbly seek your support. Your generosity can help me bridge the financial gap and ensure that I can continue my studies without interruption. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings me one step closer to fulfilling my dream of becoming a singer who can touch lives and inspire others through music. Mi nombre es Diana Carolina Bedoya P y me estoy comunicando con ustedes con un corazón lleno de esperanza y una historia que entrelaza sueños, resiliencia y una pasión inquebrantable por la música. Soy una estudiante universitaria de primera generación, actualmente en mi tercer año en la prestigiosa Berklee College of Music, donde estoy persiguiendo una doble titulación. Este viaje ha estado marcado por desafíos significativos y una determinación inmensa, y ahora busco su apoyo para completar mis estudios y alcanzar mi sueño de toda la vida.

Originaria de Colombia, me mudé a los Estados Unidos en 2007 con un corazón lleno de sueños y un espíritu dispuesto a conquistar el mundo. El año 2007 fue un punto de inflexión para mí, marcado por la pérdida de mi padre debido a una enfermedad terminal en el Día del Padre. Su fallecimiento dejó un vacío en mi corazón y cambió la trayectoria de mi vida. Apenas seis meses después de su muerte, tomé la valiente decisión de emigrar a los EE.UU., impulsada por el deseo de construir un futuro mejor y mantener viva la memoria de mi padre a través de mi éxito. Como inmigrante, abracé cada oportunidad que se presentó. Trabajé incansablemente en varios empleos: limpiando casas y oficinas, cuidando niños, de mesera, trabajando en una agencia de seguros, en un refugio y en una clínica. Cada trabajo me enseñó resiliencia y el valor del trabajo duro. Simultáneamente, estudié inglés y fui voluntaria en mi iglesia, donde descubrí mi verdadera vocación como cantante. Fue allí donde nació el sueño de evangelizar a través de la música. Mi camino hacia la preparación profesional en música comenzó siete años después cuando me matriculé en un–Community College y obtuve un título de asociado en artes liberales. Pasaron catorce años desde mi llegada a los Estados Unidos hasta que finalmente pude seguir mi sueño de estudiar música. Hoy, me siento orgullosa de ser estudiante en Berklee College of Music, un lugar que fomenta mi pasión y me ayuda a perfeccionar mis talentos. Aunque estoy increíblemente agradecida por la significativa beca de Berklee, esta solo cubre una parte de mis gastos de matrícula. Mis gastos de vida, incluidos alquiler, comida, libros y software necesario para mis estudios, siguen siendo una carga financiera significativa. A pesar del apoyo de mi madre y mis trabajos a medio tiempo, estos gastos superan mis ingresos, poniendo en riesgo mi continuidad en Berklee. Es aquí donde humildemente busco su apoyo. Su generosidad puede ayudarme a cubrir la brecha financiera y asegurar que pueda continuar mis estudios sin interrupciones. Cada contribución, por pequeña que sea, me acerca un paso más a cumplir mi sueño de convertirme en una cantante que pueda tocar vidas e inspirar a otros a través de la música.
