Help Diana Avoid Homelessness and Car Loss
Donation protected
Hi, and thank you for taking a moment to visit my GoFundMe.
My name is Diana. For the last 9 years, I've worked and paid my rent, managing a single-parent household, raising my child.
In December, with 2 days' notice, I, along with the rest of my coworkers, were informed our jobs were over.
While the timing was bad, my hopes were to get another job as quickly as possible.
I have health conditions, and recently my car stopped working. I've worked remotely and hybrid for years now, so I was trying for something close to home, or hybrid or remote.
I would get through stages, only to not be chosen or to see the listing removed without explanation.
I continued, sure that with effort and diligence, I would find more work.
2 weeks ago, my unemployment ran out. The agencies here don't help with rent. My March rent has gone unpaid.
The thing is, I am in a mobile home. I got in a rent-to-own purchase plan. As of May, I will own it, if I can pay March and April's rent.
If not, I will have lost my 8 years of investment in the home and be homeless.
I can't express how difficult it is setting up this GoFundMe. I never thought I'd end up at this point.
I've already reached out to various charities. I need $515 for March, and $750 for April for rent.
Please help! I'm at the point I may have to sell my car rather than getting it repaired, to avoid being homeless. Even then, not running, it can only pull in $300.
I need the car. I own it outright. It just needs repairs I can't afford until working again.
Even then, I'll be struggling to pay April's rent.
Every dollar is appreciated. I've capped my need at $2,000 to include car repairs and registration.
As of May, I'll only pay lot rent of $515 per month. I can hopefully at least find part-time work to cover that.
I need the car for food pantries, doctor's appointments, and work possibly.
I appreciate any help! Thank you!
