Diana and Yuri are two trans woman sharing a house in Merseyside who have recently been the targets of police violence. After allegations were made that Diana, a Roma trans woman, was responsible for some graffiti in Liverpool, Merseyside Police raided her home, breaking the door and injuring Diana in a violent arrest. Diana was later released without charge after being held until late at night at a police station.
In the course of the arrest, the landlord, with the help of Merseyside Police, attempted to illegally evict both Diana and Yuri confiscating keys and demanding that police prevent Yuri from returning to the property. Because of this, Yuri, a disabled trans woman, was left with nowhere to stay overnight and was forced to arrange emergency accommodation at significant expense.
While the two were able to regain access to the property and have sought legal advice in relation to the landlord's actions, they remain under threat of eviction and the landlord refuses to return Yuri's keys. The two need emergency funds to pay for a deposit on a new home, pay moving costs and to pay any expenses in fighting further illegal eviction attempts while they look for a new home.
