I never imagined I would be in a position to write something like this, but right now I am facing a very real medical and financial crisis. I have Type 1 Diabetes and have run out of my rapid-acting insulin. I am checking my blood sugar, being careful, and doing my best to manage, but I am feeling awful and need help replacing this medication as soon as I can. Right now, I can cover rent for one more month if I spend nothing else. Beyond that, I am facing overdue bills and do not have enough to cover insulin, groceries, and other essentials for the next several weeks.
Recently, my dog had a cancerous tumor removed from her stomach. Thankfully, she is doing much better now, but the surgery depleted my savings and is what contributed to this situation. I have always tried to care for those I love, but now I am struggling to care for myself as well.
I am asking for help with insulin and urgent medical expenses, rent, overdue bills, groceries, and basic necessities. This is deeply humbling to share. I have tried very hard to carry things on my own, but I have reached a point where I need help getting through this safely.
It is not easy for me to ask for help, but I truly need it right now. If you are able to support me, please know that your donation would go directly toward helping me stay safe, cover urgent insulin costs, and keep a roof over my head during this incredibly difficult time. And if you cannot donate, sharing this with someone who might be able to help would mean more than I can say. Thank you for holding space for me and for any kindness you can offer.
