Help Diamond Recover from Her Car Accident and Loss of Job

Hello Everyone, my name is Diamond Tyler. I was encouraged by some of my friends to make this GoFundMe.

My mom and I got into a wreck on Feb 3, 2025, as my mom was driving me to work. A guy ran the red light (his light was red for 12 seconds; we have the camera footage) and crashed into the car next to us, which then crashed into us. A few hours after the accident, my back started hurting really bad. I was told I had a lumbar strain. I went to physical therapy, and from there, they sent me to get an MRI, which shows I have bulging discs throughout my back, which can worsen over time (I’m only 21 years old). I put down the photos of my medical documents with the diagnosis, but after reading over it again it said that it's prohibited to release the documents, so for those reasons alone I had to delete the photos. However, If you have any questions about the docs I don't mind answering!!

I had to resign from my job on March 6th (serving at Pappadeaux) since my back was so messed up, and I couldn’t get through half of my shift without being in pain. So, I’ve been unemployed since then. My mom’s car was totaled in the wreck. I have no source of income. I’ve applied to so many jobs, WFH included, and I’ve been denied every single one. I’ve tried to file for unemployment. I can’t log into my account because it says error every time, and every time I call, they never pick up, nor am I able to talk to a representative. So, I’ve literally tried all options.

I’ve even thought about walking to a job, which would be anywhere from an hour to a two-hour commute in Texas heat, but I wouldn’t be able to do that due to possibly having to call in because of weather conditions (excessive heat or thunderstorms). I’m sick and tired of sitting in my room and looking at these same four walls every day. I’m not able to get a job because I don’t have transportation for one. I need to make some type of money.

I’m sick of feeling like a bum, so this will be my official last time asking for help if anyone would be willing to help. I’m asking for any type of blessing that could help me get a rental off of Turo so I can do certain side gigs such as Favor or Instacart to make money. That’ll help me out tremendously until my car accident settlement is complete. (Also, yes, I’d be able to rent a car; it would just be a young driver’s fee applied, and I’d show proof of me ordering the rental.) The rental itself will cost around 600-800 for a week.

I DON’T MIND PAYING BACK WHAT IS DONATED ONCE I’M BACK ON MY FEET!! I’m just at a dead end right now, and I’m tired of feeling lazy and worthless. I went from being someone who worked sometimes 12+ hours every day to no job at all. So, if anyone is able to help, I would greatly appreciate the gesture in any way, shape, or form. I’m beyond grateful.
