I am Diaa Nasser Mohamed Abu Watfa, a 34 years old lawyer. My wife, Alaa Samir Abu Watfa , is a doctor of medicine and laboratory. We have been married for 10 years, with four children, one of whom was born in the war (11 months old).

We had a house that was bombed and partially destroyed during the war and for a long time we lived in make-shift tents in Khan Yunis under dire circumstances, enduring many hardships. We are now back in northern Gaza, where our house used to be, trying to rebuild our lives and our hopes.

In the first days of the war, my little brother was injured and became paralyzed, so I do all his personal needs. My wife and I lost our job in the war, and for 1 1/2 years we have not received any money and I have not had any job opportunity.

Joud, 11 months

We are trying to raise 50 000 NOK for a total of 10 people: my father, mother, two brothers, four children, wife and I. The money will be used to survive from day to day, to buy food, medicine, fire wood, tent materials and other necessities and to clear the rubble of our old home and try to make it relivable again.

There is an amount for my brother Ibrahim (19). He suffers from paraplegia in his body as a result of his injury and needs costly daily special care. He needs medicine for headaches and an ear infection, and also a new wheelchair, as the old one is rusty and does not move easily.

This fundraiser is organized by Jon Helge Hesby. I am 45 years old and from the West coast of Norway. I have been running fundraisers, helping families in Gaza and raising awareness about the suffering of the Palestinian people since the beginning of this terrible war.

Raised funds will be transferred directly to the family's bank account in Bank of Palestine and will go towards their immediate needs and the rebuilding process.
