I have been struggling to effusively put into words, never mind actually get past the acidic feeling that comes from being so helpless, you don’t know where else to turn. As some of you know, I am a first generation, low-income, full time student. I am the only one in my family that speaks fluent English, and as the eldest, I am responsible as well for taking care of my family’s documents, or important interviews as their translator and such. Last fall semester, while I was at school, my grandmother fell terribly sick and I dedicated a lot of my time taking care of her. In doing so, I overlooked my school’s due balance for the semester and as of today, I cannot register again for classes unless the financial hold is paid off completely at 22k dollars. I hate to even have to type this out, as I am the sort of person who aims to help people without asking for anything in return, and I am not used to having to ask for help due to this. But I have exhausted every other method, and I really just want to register for classes and continue my routine so I can be the first in my family to graduate from college.
Please. Even if you cannot donate, I am not going to hold any grudges, nor any resentment. I just need to cut off the wide gap in the debt enough to take care of it myself. Even just sharing is enough for me to feel like I’ve done all that I could now. The rest is up to however much people are willing to help me.
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
