Help Di Rebuild Their Life!

Donation protected

A year and a half ago, my friend Di started battling a severe chronic illness that has landed them in countless doctors’ visits, lost time from work, and lost time from school. As a business owner, it was hard for them to keep up with the constant hustle of entrepreneurship. Their business is their only sole source of income as a disabled person. Business especially during the pandemic has been very hard for them amongst at the time juggling classes for their associate degree all while attending various programs to invest in their business. This ultimately led them to moving to Mexico with their family to seek far more affordable healthcare than the United States could ever provide.

With this all combined, they’ve accumulated 10k in debt from being unable to work and cover their health expenses. Being unable to work over the last year and a half, they’ve accumulated debt which forced them to move back with their family. This isn’t the first time they’ve been in debt either, which is yet another setback to them launching off on their own. They’re a divorcee and survivor of abuse who lives with PTSD; this damaged their credit as well as their mental well being. As we know, survivors of abuse are financially impacted far after the abuse ends. Sadly, Di was impacted by their abusive ex-husband not only emotionally, spiritually, but also financially. Like most survivors of abuse, recovery impacted their assets greatly due to the expenses of therapy, decreased earnings, and money for an attorney during their divorce proceedings.

10k will cover the debt incurred from not being able to work over the last year and a half.
3k will go towards their emergency medical fund which they need as a chronically ill person.
Another 3k will go towards savings, so they can have a fund to fall back upon during times of need.

Any additional funds raised will go towards rebuilding their savings account and checking accounts, so they can start becoming financially independent.

These debts have created immense anxiety and mental duress for them over the past few months. By contributing to their campaign, you will relieve them of immense anxiety allowing them to start over with a blank slate into their next chapter of their life.

Di is currently searching for accessible remote part-time work while finishing their associates degree and pursuing a project management certification in order to gain better prospects for jobs.
