I am raising money for my friend's father Dharan and quoting his story in his words: 

"Hello friends, 

I'm Dhamodharan and I'm currently supporting my wife and two daughters. I don't have any family except for my wife and kids. I came to the US to support my family and was working as a waiter in a restaurant. After a couple of months I was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Ewing's sarcoma in the rectum. As I don't have insurance I couldn't afford for the complete treatment. The cancer has now spread to sternum (in the chest region). I was told by the doctors my treatment is going to cost more than 100,000 dollars. My health has completely deteriorated and I'm not able to work. Meanwhile, my daughter's education had to be stopped because of my inability to pay her fees. I'm unable to support them for basic survival and even I'm struggling to pay for my accommodation. My family is in India and I'm alone in the US. I'm not able to to take treatment here and when I decided to go to India I learned that my treatment cost is the same in India as well since it is a rare form of cancer. I suffer from intolerable pain everyday and my treatment has to be started immediately. I wish to get well and support my family. I also wish to resume my daughter's education and give them better life. I humbly request you all to help us so that I can take my treatment and look after my family. We all would forever remain grateful to you and promise to help other affected families as a form of repayment to you all. Please help us gain our life back. Thank you"
