Dhanalakshmi’s family is a hard working family from Thirumayam (Pudukottai), a village in Tamil Nadu, India. They wanted their daughter to have a very good education and lead a better life and contribute to the betterment of other’s lives, and she came to Canada as an international student on an education loan. They also expected her to support her younger sister for her education and career in the upcoming years. Now the family has lost their light in life, in a tragic accident (Drowning Incident in the Niagara Gorge on 1st August, 2021) and only the memories of her are lingering with them. Parents can't visit Canada to take care of the funeral because of the pandemic, and we as her friends in Canada are helping with the procedure for sending her back to her parents for them to see her for one last time.

We as her friends and well-wishers would like to support this hard working family during this tough situation by setting up this Go Fund Me. This will help them to bear the cost of Dhanalakshmi’s education loan, prepare her younger sister Pavithra to endure the harsh time and fulfill the dreams of her elder sister by establishing a career of her own, support her family and eventually contribute to the society in the future. She is a person filled with enthusiasm and so much joy. Dhanalakshmi will be missed more than words can describe. By the grace of God, her family and her well-wishers will get through the dark times.
