Help Deyner Reunite with His Family After ICE Raid

Donation protected
On September 4th, ICE officers violently raided my cousin Deyner’s sister’s home in New Orleans. They broke the door down without showing a warrant, stormed in with guns while his sister was alone with her three children ages 1–5, and terrorized the family. As Deyner and his brother-in-law returned from work, they were detained on the spot.

This traumatic raid has left young children shaken and our family devastated. Deyner is not a threat — he is a kind, responsible, and hardworking young man who has dedicated himself to supporting his family.

Five years ago, Deyner fled San Pedro Sula, Honduras with his mother, escaping violence and searching for safety. He restarted high school in the U.S., graduated in 2024, and enrolled at Kingsborough Community College in New York City. When his mother lost her job and struggled to provide for his three younger sisters, Deyner stepped up. He moved to New Orleans, found steady work cleaning hotel rooms, bought a car, and began sending money home to support them.

Deyner has no criminal record. He holds valid work authorization until December 18, 2027 and has a pending youth visa application. His dream is to return to college and pursue a career in financial planning — a dream he has worked hard for and should not be denied.

This detention is unjust, and we are doing everything we can to fight for his release. But strong legal representation is essential, and attorney fees are costly. That is why we are urgently asking for your support. Please donate what you can and share this campaign to help us stop this injustice and bring Deyner home to his family.
