On Saturday, September 6th, after our biggest adoption to date at our cat cafe named after our best guy Dexter, he out of nowhere started seizing uncontrollably which led to a stroke. We were thankfully able to get him to an amazing emergency vet an hour away where we discovered his blood pressure was 80 points over where it should be. He was unable to walk, and his body is twisted to the left, common signs of vestibular syndrome most likely brought on by the stroke. He is 15 and has been with me since he was 3 months old. His other bloodwork and testing looks great for his age and if we can overcome this he is otherwise a healthy guy.

At this time, our care team believes he will recover from this, but it will take time and obviously money and resources. Over the last three years, we have spent $12k out of pocket for surgeries, emergency visits, and cancer treatments for our animals and are just currently tapped out. These funds will go toward his emergency visit, hospitalization, and any further testing we can get to help diagnose the cause of his seizure/stroke.
