Yesterday morning at 6am, we woke up to Dexter being attacked by two dogs running loose at our front door. It was a terrifying experience, and Dexter suffered serious injuries that required emergency reconstructive surgery at the UGA animal hospital. He is now facing a week-long stay under their care, and we are doing everything we can to make sure he gets the best treatment possible. Dexter has always been a gentle soul, bringing joy and laughter to our family and friends. For ten years, he has been the mascot of our farm, greeting visitors and keeping spirits high. Seeing him in pain has been heartbreaking, but we are hopeful that with the right medical attention and lots of love, he will recover and continue to be the epicenter of our homestead. The veterinary costs are significant, and Dexter will need ongoing aftercare at home, along with several follow-up appointments to ensure his recovery. Your support means the world to us. Thank you for helping Dexter—your kindness will allow him to keep spreading happiness and remain a beloved part of our community.
