Hi everyone,

My name is Jett and I am writing on behalf of my grandmother and family for our family cat Dexter. Dexter is our 11-year-old tabby kitty who is a super important part of our family. We adopted him when he was close to one year old. When one of my grandmother's kitties passed away, she took Dexter into her loving home. I am creating this go fund me to help my grandmother pay for his life-saving veterinary care.

Dexter has been a very healthy and happy kitty until a few days ago when he stopped urinating. My grandmother took him to the vet and we found out he has a urethral obstruction. The vet was able to temporarily relieve him by draining his bladder but informed us this only buys him a few days. He will need to be in the hospital for about two days which they quoted to be about $5,900, which isn't including the two other vet visits. Unfortunately, if he does not get this surgery he will not survive.
