Help Dexter Fight for New Lungs

Hello, my name is Dexter. I graduated from United States Merchant Marine Academy aka Kings Point in 2013 and proudly served in the Navy Reserve. I’m a father of three beautiful children, but in 2016, my life took a turn when I was diagnosed with Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis, a debilitating lung disease.

Despite following a strict health regimen and attending regular doctor appointments, my lung capacity has gradually decreased over the years. Now, I’m at the point where everyday activities are becoming a struggle, and I face the reality of needing supplemental oxygen on a daily basis. My activity levels have significantly declined, and I’m now in urgent need of a lung transplant.

This journey is not only physically exhausting but also financially overwhelming. The extensive medical appointments, tests, and the lung transplant itself come with high costs that my family and I are struggling to cover.

Any support, no matter the size, will help me in this fight for a second chance at life. If you aren’t able to donate, even sharing my story would mean the world to me.
