When I was volunteering in Bali, I met a wonderful man named Dewa. He operated the bar and restaurant across the street from my volunteer house in a village called Gepokan. Dewa was one of the first people I met in my time traveling abroad, and is one of the most warm, open and funny people I have ever met. He made my time in Bali exponentially better.

Recently, his mother had an accident and broke her leg while preparing for a prayer ceremony. Unfortunately, her injury is serious and requires surgery that is extremely expensive for Dewa's family. The cost of her medical bills is 30,000,000-40,000,000 Rupiah, equivalent to about $2000-$2700. He cannot afford to treat her on his own.

I want to repay the kindness he showed me throughout my time in Bali by helping him with his medical bills. Anything you can spare will help his family tremendously.
