Help for Devoyne's Kentucky Musicians Abroad trip

Hello Everyone, My names Casey Montgomery and we live in Ashland, Kentucky and I am starting this GoFundMe to help raise money for my Extremely talented 18 year old musician son Devoyne. There was a news article done on him by our local newspaper The Greater Ashland Beacon. He was nominated by his highschool band director to travel with a select group of students from his highschool and others to go to Europe and perform with the Kentucky Musicians Abroad band. It is quite expensive and we could not afford the entirety on our own as it will cost around $7,500 for the trip which is all inclusive and covers all airfare, lodging, tours, meals and more but it is the chance of a lifetime trip that would be amazing for any musician to have the privilege to experience. They will get to travel and play in many cities in England, France, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Germany and The Netherlands and will get to tour amazing places like Windsor Castle, Buckingham Palace, the Eiffel Tower, The Mattahorne, The Louvre, Notre Dame Cathedral and so much more. We are a working class family and Devoyne has a job at a pizza place and is going to contribute as much as possible to go towards his trip as well as as many fundraising opportunities as I can think of to raise money for him. A little bit about Devoyne - He is an extremely smart and talented young man and in his younger years struggled a little to find himself and what would make him happy and when he was 7 we gave him an old Keyboard and he started to teach himself how to play and his passion for music only grew from there. In middle school he joined the marching band and started playing trumpet, then baritone, baritone saxophone and and any other band instrument he could get his hands on and joined orchestra and started playing cello. He has competed in many All-District and All-State competitions, Jazz clinics for piano and as a Junior in highschool was invited to play With the Marshall University orchestra. And is currently Attending the Governor's School of the Arts summer program at The University of Kentucky which he auditioned for with over 1000 applicants, and him along with only 8 other pianists made the program. He also taught himself how to play bass guitar and plays with a Praise Band led by Nick Joyce former lead singer of the Christian Rock band 'Our Hearts Hero' and a Junior praise band with our church. His Dream is to go to College and get a Doctorate Degree in musical performance and become a soloist in both Cello and Piano and one day audition for Julliard and play in Carnegie Hall. This kids entire life is music. Not a day goes by without hearing him play on one of his instruments. And due to his Aspergers it is his obsession and he thinks about music 24/7 he also has other pretty awesome talents that include perfect pitch and synesthesia which allow him to see colors when he hears music. Bottom line is this kid is an amazingly talented musician and he deserves to go on this trip and we will do whatever we can to make it possible for him and would greatly appreciate any and all donations made to go towards making this trip possible for him. Music isn't just something he does, it's who he is and it's his entire life and we want him to experience every opportunity possible to help him further his pursuit in a career for music.
